Lee Corso and the ESPN "College GameDay" crew were in Columbus, Ohio, for the first round of the College Football Playoff, covering a matchup between the No. 8 Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 9 Tennessee Volunteers.
After the panel discussed the first-round slate, Corso revealed his predictions for the Saturday matchups, as well as a couple of upcoming bowl games.
When the panel reviewed a matchup between the Colorado Buffaloes and BYU Cougars, Corso predicted an upset.
He believes the Cougars will defeat the Buffaloes, despite Colorado heading into the game as a 5-point favorite, per ESPN BET.
"Not so fast my friend," Corso said. "BYU's got a balanced offense and they upset Colorado."
The Cougars are heading into the game with a 10-2 record, listed as the No. 3 team in the Big 12 standings, behind Iowa State and Arizona State.
BYU started the year with a 9-0 record before falling in back-to-back games, in Week 12 and Week 13. They suffered losses to Arizona State and Kansas.
When picking the Cougars over the Buffaloes, Cordo highlighted their offense.
BYU is led by quarterback Jake Retzlaff, who recorded 20 touchdowns and 2,796 yards with a 57.9 completion percentage. He also added six touchdowns and 388 yards on the ground.
Retzlaff is the focal point of their dual-threat offense that produces 30.9 points and 397.4 yards per game, per ESPN.
The matchup between Colorado and BYU will take place on Dec. 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET in the Alamo Bowl.
