West Virginia has poured in a ton of effort and focus recruiting corners and safeties in the transfer portal this offseason to help restock a thin secondary.
Monday, they just missed out on adding to that group as former Liberty cornerback Kobe Singleton chose Oregon State over Cincinnati, Illinois, Mississippi State, TCU, and West Virginia.
Singleton played a big part in the Flames' undefeated regular season, recording 41 tackles, 16 passes defended (top ten in the country), four interceptions, and one fumble recovery, earning him First Team All-Conference USA honors.
Prior to transferring to Liberty in 2022, Singleton played a season at Southern Utah where he notched 22 tackles, nine pass breakups, and three interceptions.
He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
