There aren't many programs with a better recent track record than the LSU Tigers when it comes to recruiting. Head coach Brian Kelly has the Tigers with the best recruting class in the SEC along with the second-best class in nation for the 2026 cycle.
As things currently sit, the Tigers have two five-star recruits committed:
The momentum to land top recruits for the Tigers is continuing into the summer, as On3 Sports' Steve Wiltfong has moved his expert prediction for five-star offensive line from South Carolina to LSU.

This is a huge deal for the Tigers, especially after losing four starters on the offensive line from this past season. Right now, they currently have two commitments on the offensive line to continue building the unit one year after signing four interior offensive linemen.
The Richmond, Virginia native Gray is currently the number one interior offensive linemna in the On3 Industry Ranking, along wit being the 32nd overall ranked recruit. He's long, athletic, and powerful, with a plus scouting report from 247 Sports' Andrew Irvins.
Athletic offensive lineman with a dense build that has the foot quickness to lead the way on long pulls or counters and the horsepower to hold the line of scrimmage or change it. Ended up being one of the biggest surprises of the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl as he arrived with 34-inch arms and then was able to anchor all week against much older and larger defenders. Relentless energy allows him to not only be a plus finisher in the run game, but also readjust and recover in pass sets. Tends to punch with authority and frequently has the upper and lower halves dancing to the same tune. Has what it takes to certainly handle one of the corners on Saturdays, but combination of brute force and rare movement patterns suggest that he could emerge as a cheat code of a guard in a zone-blocking scheme. Might need a developmental year or two to find his bearings as he levels up in competition and adjusts to the speed of the college game, but profiles as someone that has what it takes to blossom into an early-round NFL Draft pick with his basketball background and full-time, two-way snaps at the prep level.
It's also really impressive that LSU has taken the lead, especially after Gray has taken six visits to South Carolina with a seventh currently scheduled. Things could change with Gray, as he currently has seven official visits scheduled with LSU's coming on June 14th. That could be the one that seals the deal for Kelly, which would be huge for the recruiting class.
