The No. 10 LSU Tigers shocked the No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide Saturday night, 32-31, thanks to a bold overtime decision and perfect execution down the stretch from junior quarterback Jayden Daniels.
With LSU trailing by a touchdown after Roydell Williams' one-yard score gave Alabama the lead in the extra frame, the Tigers responded on the first play of their OT possession.
Daniels scampered 25 yards for a touchdown off a quarterback option, putting the Tigers an extra point away from forcing a second OT session.
"I knew I had to make a play," Daniels said. "My teammates did a great job blocking. I give all credit to god putting me in this position. I couldn't be more blessed."
However, instead of kicking the extra point, head coach Brian Kelly elected to go for two and the win, putting his faith in the hands of Daniels again.
Daniels took a snap out of the shotgun on the two-point try and quickly rolled to his right before firing a dart to tight end Mason Taylor in the endzone, completing LSU's stunning upset of Alabama.

Daniels finished 22-of-32 for 182 yards and two touchdowns through the air while also leading the Tigers in rushing, adding 95 yards and a score on the ground.
Meanwhile, Daniels' counterpart, Alabama's Bryce Young, went 25-of-51 for 328 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
The loss drops Alabama to 7-2, while LSU improves to 7-2 after their third victory in a row. They'll look to make it four straight when they travel to take on Arkansas next Saturday at noon.
