The LSU Tigers' true freshman quarterback Colin Hurley was involved in a serious car wreck early on Thursday morning on campus.
According to Baton Rouge local ABC News affiliate WBRZ, Hurley's vehicle (reportedly a Dodge Charger) was crashed into a tree (updated reports suggest it was around 3am). Hurley was initially found breathing, but unresponsive to emergency personnel.

The reason behind the wreck has not been released as of this writing and there has not been any significant updates on his current health status. Local officials did say that they do not believe Hurly was impaired in any way while driving, but that has yet to be entirely confirmed at this time.
Colin Hurley, still just 17 years old, had reclassified to the 2024 recruiting class to join LSU a full year earlier than expected heading into this past Tigers football season to play (and at least practice) for Brian Kelly and company. Hurley is expected to operate as the team's second or third quarterback behind Garrett Nussmeier and competing with incoming transfer Michael Van Buren for 2025 as spring practices are set to begin in a few short weeks.
