CINCINNATI — The Athletic's Dane Brugler flipped the page to the 2023 NFL Draft and ranked his top QBs ahead of the 2022 college season. Cincinnati's Ben Bryant checked in at No. 8 on the preseason top-20 senior quarterbacks group.

The veteran passer is locked in a dead heat with Evan Prater for the Bearcats' starting quarterback job. Spring Practice didn't separate much of the argument between the two, as Bryant made all the requisite throws while giving up just a bit of athleticism to Prater.

Bryant passed for 3,121 yards, 14 touchdowns, and seven interceptions with Eastern Michigan last season. Those numbers were decent but all of it came in what is unquestionably the weakest conference in the FBS out of the 10. The MAC checked in well behind the other nine conferences in Bill Connelly's final SP+ rankings for the 2021 season.

Bryant could get his shot to perform in a much better league, but he'll have to beat out Prater first. Check out the full article here.
