The Ohio State Buckeyes are once again assembling a very talented recruiting class for 2026.
According to 247Sports, the Buckeyes currently hold the No. 3 class in the country, with 12 players already committed. Ohio State consistently recruits well at wide receiver, and five-star WR Chris Henry Jr. is the headliner of this class for the Buckeyes.
Ohio State will not receive a visit from a wide receiver they had been recruiting, as the player now appears to be looking elsewhere with Notre Dame gaining steam in his recruitment. The reason is understandable.
I will NOT be taking my official visit to Ohio State #TrustTheProcess @SWiltfong_ @TomLoy247 @MikeRoach247 @samspiegs

Robinson announced on X over the weekend that he will not be taking his official visit to Columbus to meet with the Buckeyes. This decision came shortly after Ohio State secured its fourth commitment at the wide receiver position.
Brian Hartline is likely to stick with four wide receivers in this class unless plans change. Henry Jr. is joined by Jaeden Ricketts, Brock Boyd, and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt—the most recent commitment. Henry Jr., with his college-ready size, could contribute early, while Hartline focuses on developing the rest.
Emeka Egbuka recently became the latest Ohio State wide receiver selected in the first round of the NFL Draft. Carnell Tate could follow suit next April, and Jeremiah Smith is expected to hear his name called early in the 2027 draft. Hartline consistently lands top talent and continues to develop them at a high level. He labels a few players every class and goes after them.
Ohio State not getting an official visit from Robinson is simply a case of both sides recognizing that he is unlikely to end up in Columbus—and saving each other time as a result.
