Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman and star cornerback Leonard Moore sat down with the hosts of the Today Show on Friday to discuss what their 2024 season meant to the program and how that will impact the 2025 season. The Fighting Irish football program is currently making their way through their media sessions in New York City.
The Irish are only a couple of weeks away from beginning fall camp and are now a month and a half away from kicking off their 2025 season against the Hurricanes down in Miami on August 31. Freeman and Moore talk about their upcoming season on the Today Show.

Here are some of Freeman's and Moore's quotes from their segment on the Today Show:
Freeman On The Here Come The Irish Documentary
"It definitely took some convincing," Freeman explained. "We had to think about all the cameras, the mics and all the distractions. We really started to implement it last spring and it was a good trial run. They became a part of the team; you didn't notice they were there. It felt like they were a part of the staff. I think everybody dropped their guards and it became natural. Early on, I had to be careful about my word selection, but then after a while it became natural. There were some things they might have to just edit."
Moore On Playing For Notre Dame
"I feel the magnitude every time you go out there, especially in pregame or the player walk," Moore stated. "You see how blessed you are just to be in a position to have all those eyes on you. You have all these people who love you and want to see you put on that gold helmet and go out there and ball."
Freeman On Rebounding From The Championship Loss
"I think there's valuable lessons you learn from previous experiences," Freeman said. "I don't want to shy away from that. I often tell these guys that we have to remember the lessons we learned from last year where we didn't achieve the ultimate goal but we got pretty darn close. Now, we have to use those lessons but develop the 2025 team. It's a brand new team, some guys were here and some guys weren't. We have to go through our process to build these guys up and get ready for the 2025 season."
