Marquis Maze takes shot at Alabama players that transferred to Florida State
Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Week zero of college football delivered our first upset in the 12-team College Football Playoff era.

Florida State University received much hype in the preseason, getting ranked at No. 10 in the polls, but it went down Saturday in Ireland in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup versus Georgia Tech.

Brent Key, a former Alabama assistant coach in the Nick Saban era, earned a 24-21 victory over a top-10 program as the Yellow Jackets’ head coach. The Crimson Tide had a few players to leave Tuscaloosa (Ala.) for FSU via the NCAA transfer portal when Saban retired.

Roydell Williams, Malik Benson, Earl Little II, Terrence Ferguson, and Shawn Murphy were the individuals who transferred.

Marquis Maze, a former Tide wide receiver, was not a fan of the individuals that left. He took a shot at the five players that chose the Seminoles over Alabama on social media.

Maze played for Alabama from 2008 to 2011, winning two BCS National Championships in 2009 and 2011.

His Alma mater has its first game of the season next week versus Western Kentucky.
