Miami Hurricanes Head Coach Mario Cristobal has proven himself to be one of the top recruiters in college football. His relentless approach to recruiting is why he lands some of the top high school talent in the country.

Since his arrival in Coral Gables, each of his signing classes has finished inside the top fifteen, with two of them ranked inside the top ten.

One of those top ten classes came off the heels of a 5-7 season. But it was Miami's 2024 sixth-ranked class that turned heads when Cristobal managed to sign the nation's top defensive line group, which included three composite five-star defensive linemen.

This weekend, Cristobal will be in his element as he and his staff are poised to have several 247 top 100 recruits on campus for a huge recruiting weekend that has the potential to turn into the best signing classes in program history.

According to Gaby Urrutia at InsideTheU, Miami held its first fully padded scrimmage on Saturday morning, then hosted a large pool party for their visitors afterward.

Some of wide receiver prospects on campus are current Ohio State Buckeyes commit and third-ranked wideout in the nation, Chris Henry. Joining him is another top-100 receiver in Zion Robinson, along with Top247 target Jayden Petit

Each are pass catchers with bigger frames than what currently dominates the Hurricanes' receiving room.

Cristobal also has most of his offensive line hopefuls on campus. Ben Congdon, who committed to Miami earlier in March, is on hand to help recruit the likes of local interior lineman Ryan Miret, Miami legacy Canon Pickett who is fresh off a visit with the Gators, recent Louisville decommitment Joel Ervin, 6-foot-8 tackle Chancellor Campbell, IMG Academy teammates Breck KolojayG'nivre Carr and Keenyi PepeDa'Ron Parks, JJ SparksRhys Woodrow, and Tommy Tofi.

Five-star tackle Keenyi Pepe and Top247 talent Tommy Tofi are both ranked inside the top 10 at their respective positions; Pepe is a top 10 player nationally, regardless of position.

At tight end, Zachery Turner and Tennessee Volunteers pledge Carson Sneed are visiting as well. This is a position where Miami has excelled at historically and had significant production from last season.

With one of the more intriguing players in the country attending the pool party, Cristobal and staff are sure to spend time with Heze Kent. The highly regarded prospect can play two positions at the next level and is nothing short of an athletic marvel. Standing at 6-foot-5, 300-plus pounds, Kent has the frame to contribute on the line but is gifted enough to play tight end.

Recruits will be visiting with their families as the staff works to gain some recruiting momentum heading into the April 12 spring game at Cobb Stadium on campus.

Miami's class ranks 19th nationally according to 247Sports with six verbal commitments. The highest rated commit is local four-star linebacker Jordan Campbell.
