Michael Pratt injury update for Ole Miss vs. Tulane game

Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt is a game-time decision for Saturday's game against Ole Miss as he deals with the effects of a left knee injury, according to ESPN college football insider Pete Thamel.

Pratt sustained the injury late in last week's season opener against South Alabama and has been limited in practice in the days since then. 

Coaches will warm him up prior to Saturday's game to get a final judgment on his mobility before making a final decision on whether he play against the Rebels.

If Pratt is unable to play, the Green Wave will start Kai Horton at quarterback. Horton is a redshirt sophomore with one career start. Pratt went 14 of 15 passing with four touchdowns in last week's season opener.

"He's fine," Tulane coach Willie Fritz said this week when addressing Pratt's injury and said that the quarterback should play in the game.

The injury concerns arise at the worst time for Tulane, which comes into this week at No. 24 in the latest AP top 25 college football rankings and set to host a landmark game against a ranked SEC opponent in No. 20 Ole Miss.

Tulane is the defending AAC champion and defeated USC in the Cotton Bowl last postseason, two critical steps in building a more national reputation, and the program is hoping a win in Saturday's game would be another step in that direction.
