The Michigan football team has become famous nationwide for its stalwart defensive lines led by players including 2025 holdover Rayshaun Benny and departed NFL draft selections Kenneth Grant and Mason Graham.
The Wolverines have actively searched for Graham and Grant's replacements this offseason with coach Sherrone Moore and defensive line coach Lou Epsposito taking their chances with high grade talent.
On Tuesday, Michigan fans, coaches and others got word of the Wolverines' latest commitment, a defensive lineman who was given a four-star rating out of five possible stars by On3.com who chose Michigan over their recent rivals the Alabama Crimson Tide.
"IM HOME," Class of 2026 defensive tackle/lineman Titan Davis said on X Monday night as the day's news cycle began to wind down.
Davis chose Michigan over the Crimson Tide, Penn State Nittany Lions, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Wisconsin Badgers, Michigan State Spartans, Ohio State Buckeyes and other colleges and universities.
Davis is listed at 6-foot-4, 262 pounds by 247Sports.com.
A winning player for DeSmet High School in St. Louis, Missouri, Davis finished his junior year with 46 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and nine sacks, leading his team to a 12-2 record and the state of Missouri's Class 6 state title.
He was invited to the Navy All-American Bowl earlier this month and has a high ceiling as a player with the frame to put on more weight while retaining his athleticism.
