Michigan may be having a rough season this year, but that hasn’t prevented them from landing a top recruit.

Five-star offensive tackle recruit Andrew Babalola has committed to play for the Wolverines.

Babalola is 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds and is part of the class of 2025, meaning he should be on campus next fall. He was considering Stanford, Auburn, Oklahoma and Missouri, in addition to Michigan.

Babalola told 247 Sports that the family feel at Michigan attracted him to the school. Babalola also wanted a school with strong academics and player development, which he feels Michigan has.

247 Sports’ composite rankings have Babalola listed as the No. 21 overall recruit in the country, No. 4 offensive lineman and No. 1 player in the state of Kansas.

Babalola attends Blue Valley Northwest High School in Overland Park, Kansas. He is still a work in progress with football as he started focusing on it late; he began his athletic career playing a lot of basketball. But schools still see plenty of potential in him, and the expectations for him as a football player are very high.
