The Michigan Wolverines have pledges from several of the nation's top prospects for their 2025 recruiting class including the nation's number one quarterback Bryce Underwood.
On Friday, a longtime Michigan target for the passing game, Indiana wideout Donaven McCulley, made his college choice as he decided to go with the Wolverines for next season.
McCulley committed to Michigan on Friday night according to Pete Nakos of On3.com. McCulley stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 203 pounds. His best season came in 2023 with the Hoosiers as he caught nearly 50 passes for then-coach Tom Allen's team.
McCulley left the program after playing just four games for coach Curt Cignetti's team in 2024. In 2023 under coach Allen, McCulley caught 48 passes for 644 yards and eight touchdowns.
McCulley was originally listed as a four-star recruit out of Indianapolis' Lawrence North High School.
He was given a rating of 94 out of 100 coming out of high school and 88 out of 100 in the transfer portal, suggesting that the onus is now on Michigan's coaching staff, including new offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey, to get the maximum performance out of the former Hoosier state star that his talents will allow.
Michigan's quarterback situation for 2025 is up in the air with the true freshman Underwood, sophomore Jadyn Davis, and a potential transfer portal addition all recently listed as candidates for the starting job in Ann Arbor.
