Michigan legacy receives his dream offer, and it is going to flood the Wolverine fanbase with nostalgia and bring back some great memories

His father of the same name was a dominant member of the Michigan program from 1995-97. He was a big reason that the Wolverines were able to win a national championship during his final season. During that campaign, Woodson was also able to take home the Heisman Trophy, a very rare feat for a defensive player. 

During his three seasons in Ann Arbor, Woodson was able to haul in 16 interceptions on the defensive side of the football. Woodson also played some offense for the Wolverines as well, hauling on 21 receptions for 370 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 167 yards and two more scores. Add in an impact as a punt returner, and Woodson was the definition of an all around weapon. 

The 6-1, 210-pound defensive back ended up being selected with the No. 4 overall selection by the Oakland Raiders in the 1998 NFL Draft. Woodson was selected to nine Pro Bowls during his 18-year career with the Raiders and Green Bay Packers. During that stretch, Woodson managed to collect 1,220 total tackles and 65 interceptions. 

His son is an impressive athlete in his own right. The younger Woodson is currently rated as a four-star player on the 247Sports ranking, sitting as the No. 243 overall player and No. 23 safety in the 2027 recruiting class. 

Woodson is beginning to get more and more attention on the recruiting trail. Some of his top offers include the Wolverines, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Iowa State, and Syracuse among others. He is fresh off of a sophomore season where the 5-11, 155-pound safety managed to collect 53 total tackles, one interception, and two pass breakups.
