After a rough start to their first year post-Jim Harbaugh, the Michigan Wolverines finished strong with wins over both Ohio State and Alabama to end the year at 8-5. But starting quarterback Davis Warren paid the price with his body during the ReliaQuest Bowl win over the Crimson Tide.

Warren injured his leg in the third quarter of a 19-13 win over Alabama earlier this week. He finished the game 9-of-12 for 73 yards and one touchdown and ended the year 6-3 as a starter and likely as the favorite to be the starter heading into 2025.

But after days of silence following the injury, Warren finally gave an update on how he's doing. Taking to X on Saturday, Warren shared a video of himself enjoying some fun in the sun with a massive cast over his right leg. But his two thumbs up and wide smile for the camera made it clear that he's doing just fine as he starts his recovery. He revealed that he is dealing with a torn ACL but is thankful to everyone who supported him.

"Celebrating a win and so proud of the way the boys finished this season! I unfortunately suffered a torn ACL in the bowl game. Thanks to the Michigan faithful for all the support this season. Can’t wait to battle to be back on the field with my guys in AA and go blue!" Warren wrote.

Fans in the comments were delighted to see Warren in such high spirits after such a brutal injury and are hoping to have him back with the team as the starter in 2025:

"Thank you for being the QB no one believed in until you showed them wrong. Forever Go Blue!" one user wrote.

"Appreciate all you've done to make the best out of this season. Forever a legend with the win over Ohio State," wrote another.

"Heal up and keep going at it like you always have, champ. We will need your leadership in the locker room for Team 146, sir ! GO BLUE," a third declared.

Warren finished the season with 1,199 passing yards, seven touchdowns, nine interceptions and a 64.1-percent completion rate. But while his passing numbers weren't great, he won in the one stat that matters: Wins, specifically against Ohio State and in the postseason.

We wish Warren all the best in his recovery.
