By way of Colorado, South Florida and Michigan State, the next stop on running back Jaren Mangham's college football journey is the University of Minnesota.

Mangham committed to the Gophers on Tuesday, having entered the NCAA's spring transfer portal prior to the May 1 deadline.

The 24-year-old already has five years of college football under his belt, having spent 2019 and 2020 at Colorado before playing at South Florida in 2021 and 2022 and most recently spending the 2023 season at Michigan State.

The third-year senior has one season of eligibility remaining and figures to mix in somewhere in Minnesota's deep backfield that features Darius Taylor II, Sieh Bangura, Marcus Major and Jordan Nubin.

As a true freshman at Colorado in 2019, Mangham rushed for 441 yards and three touchdowns. COVID and an injury wiped out most of his 2020 season before he bounced back at South Florida in 2021 with 671 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.

He's had a total of just 54 carries the past two seasons for a total of 185 yards and three touchdowns.
