Michigan Wolverines, Sherrone Moore set to reunite with former trusted Jim Harbaugh advisor ahead of 2025 season

He previously worked at Michigan as an analyst in 2016 and then as an associate head coach in 2021-22. Poggi's leadership as a high school coach helped produce several Michigan prospects and played a crucial role in Harbaugh turning the Wolverines into a national championship winning team. 

At Michigan, Poggi was praised for his help in assisting then-Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh to turn around Michigan's program culture ahead of the 2021 season. Poggi was credited for helping Harbaugh trust his assistant coaches, express his gratitude for his players and senior leaders, and develop a more collaborative, connected staff and team.

Biff Poggi visited during the week of the Ohio State game, sparking some speculation that he might rejoin the Wolverines. 

Head coach Sherrone Moore had this to say about Poggi and his presence: 

"I’m very close with Biff and he worked with me directly when he was here. We’re excited and we’ll work those things out. A possibility to have him back and I’m looking forward to it."

Now, that possibility seems like the reality. 

It's unknown what Poggi's exact responsibilities will be, but it seems likely that he will once again be heavily involved with Michigan football. After the way the 2024 season ended for both parties, this could be a win-win for both Poggi and the Wolverines heading into a crucial 2025 season.
