The Missouri Tigers have snagged their third commitment for the class of 2026, and he comes from a familiar place.
Four-star quarterback Gavin Sidwar announced his verbal commitment to Mizzou in a post shared to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) Friday afternoon.

The Warrington, Pennsylvania native is ranked No. 2 among quarterbacks and No. 11 overall in the state for the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. Nationally, he ranks as the No. 25 quarterback in his class.
He is now the third quarterback from Pennsylvania on the Tigers' roster, joining Penn State junior-transfer Beau Pribula and four-star 2025 signee Matt Zollers.
Sidwar was previously committed to Rutgers but de-committed in late October. He took an official visit to Missouri on Wednesday.
“It was one of the best visits I’ve been on,” Sidwar told On3.com. “Mizzou is a place that I feel like can develop me on and off the field, and I get to compete with and against some of the best football players in the country.”
He previously held offers from a variety of programs, including Indiana, Duke, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Wake Forest and others.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback is the third member of Mizzou’s 2026 recruiting class—and the first on offense. He joins defensive end Anthony Kennedy Jr. and safety D’Montae Tims.
During his junior season at La Salle College High School, Sidwar threw for 2,747 yards, 31 touchdowns, and just six interceptions while completing nearly 70% of his passes. He led his team to a 10-1 record and earned Class 6A First Team All-State honors.
Sidwar has a strong arm, makes smart decisions and brings a high ceiling to Missouri’s quarterback room. The Tigers are hopeful he can develop into an SEC-caliber starter in the future.
