Chandler was a three-star signee in the class of 2024 and only played eight snaps in his lone game against UMass during his freshman campaign.
Competing for the starting role at left tackle or right guard, the 6-foot-2, 290-pound Chandler was up against Dominick Giudice, Tristan Wilson, Henry Fenuku, Logan Reichert and Curtis Peagler for the interior position.
In a press conference last week, head coach Eli Drinkwitz stated that the "offensive line is still a work in progress," and while they won't target any one position in the portal, the Tigers will add any player that can help the team to be better and find some wins.
"I think we have a very cohesive football team. So, unless there's a huge surprise, which I haven't seen so far, I don't anticipate that we have to go get this position or that position." Drinkwitz said.
"But if somebody leaves, and that provides us an opportunity, to either add the best player available or maybe to add a younger guy who can come and develop or if we feel like we need to create some competition because players aren't achieving at the level that we want them to, and we need to challenge them, because the only thing better than a little competition is a lot of competition, then we may factor that into consideration. Anybody that can help us win the SEC Championship."
Joining Chandler to enter the portal on Monday was edge rusher Joe Moore.
That makes six Mizzou players have now entered the portal this spring - Drew Pyne, Jahkai Lang, Ja'Marion Wayne and Mikai Gbayor. Drinkwitz estimated during his post-spring presser that as many as eight could be leaving the program.
