After month's of camp, Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz wasn't able to come to a conclusion on his starting quarterback before Thursday night's season-opener against Central Arkansas.
As a result, both Beau Pribula and redshirt junior Sam Horn were expected to see equal playing time - Pribula to play the first half, Horn the second. Those plans changed however when Horn was injured on his first play from scrimmage.
Update: #Mizzou QB Sam Horn was spotted in a full leg cast in the tunnel.

With the Tigers leading 6-0 and 5:10 remaining in the first quarter, Horn entered the game on a designed run, rushing up the middle for six yards before taking a hit to the knees. He remained on the field for a minute or so before trainers helped him off the field and into the injury tent. After a short time in the tent, he limped to the locker room assisted by trainers to be further evaluated. Horn returned to the field later and was spotted on crutches, wearing a full brace on his right leg.
The only returning quarterback on Mizzou's roster, Horn missed the entire 2024 football and baseball seasons recovering from Tommy John surgery. He returned to the diamond this spring and went 0-1 with a 4.22 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 10-plus innings.
Horn was selected in the 17th round of July's MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers but elected to return to the gridiron. He's 3-of-8 passing for 54 yards with one touchdown in his career at Mizzou.
Pribula's first play from scrimmage resulted in a 49-yard touchdown pass to Marquis Johnson to give the Tigers a 6-0 lead. He finished the game completing 23-of-28 passes, and totaled 346 yards and four touchdowns before being replaced by true freshman Matt Zollers.
We'll have more info on Horn's condition when it becomes available.
