Jared Curtis is preparing for his final season of high school football. Before he even takes a snap this fall at Nashville Christian School, he knows where he's heading next. He’ll suit up for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2026.
The standout quarterback led Nashville Christian to a state championship as a junior, racking up 2,380 passing yards and 40 touchdowns while throwing just three interceptions. On the ground, he added 637 rushing yards and 18 more scores, showcasing his dual-threat ability.
Those efforts earned Curtis the Offensive Player of the Year award from the Middle Tennessee High School Sports Awards.
His school proudly shared the announcement on social media, and Curtis responded with a quiet but telling Instagram post that simply let the accolades speak for themselves.
In a social media message, the school highlighted his performance:
"Congratulations to Jared Curtis ‘26, The Tennessean's Offensive Player of the Year at the 2025 Middle Tennessee High School Sports Awards! From leading NCS to a state championship to posting impressive stats—over 2,800 passing yards, 40 touchdowns, and nearly 650 rushing yards."
The post continued:
"Jared has displayed exceptional poise, strength and leadership throughout the season. We're proud of all he's accomplished and look forward to the fall football season."
Curtis, a five-star recruit, has drawn comparisons to Miami Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck. Andrew Ivins, Director of Scouting at 247Sports, had high praise for the Georgia commit:
“Refined and polished passer who matches a higher floor with a higher ceiling. Possesses not only the desired build for the position but also elite pocket-passing qualities to go along with some slick athleticism. Owns both the arm and the eyes to constantly tax defenses. Smooth mechanics result in pinpoint accuracy on the basic throws while a powerful base helps serve up lasers to both the second and third levels.”
Curtis recommitted to Georgia in May after previously decommitting. During his brief reopened recruitment, Oregon and head coach Dan Lanning made a strong push for his services. But Georgia ultimately won out again.
He joins a strong 2026 Georgia recruiting class that already includes Zechariah Fort, Brady Marchese and Vance Spafford, all ranked in ESPN’s Top 100 for the 2026 class. The class is ranked No. 6 in the nation by 247Sports.
