There may not be a college football program throughout the country that is having a hotter month of June than the Georgia Bulldogs.
Kirby Smart's squad came into the month of June with just 10 commits, but will enter July with 26 commitments on the board.
The latest two commitments came on the defensive side of the ball, as the Bulldogs landed four-star defensive lineman PJ Dean, and four-star defensive back Donte Wright.
Dean, who is a 2026 recruit, got the party started between the two earlier in the day. According to On3's recruiting rankings, he ranks as the No. 45 player in the country and the No. 4 player at his position.
The Bulldogs have been producing monsters in the interior defensive line as of late, with names like Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis headlining the program's success stories. While he won't be playing on the same side as him, On3's No. 1 quarterback recruit and Georgia quarterback commit, Jared Curtis, took to Instagram to show his support of his future teammate.
As for Wright, the product of California powerhouse Long Beach Poly is ranked as the No. 7 corner in the 2027 recruiting class. He also marks the second commitment of the class, joining wide receiver Gavin Honore.
This kind of recruiting success isn't uncommon for Smart's program, as he has built a top-two recruiting class every cycle since 2023. Dating back to 2020, Georgia's worst recruiting rankings have been the No. 3 class, twice.
So, with Curtis and company heading to Athens in the next couple of years, it seems fair to assume that the Dawgs will be frequent contenders for the College Football Playoff.
