Just one recruiting cycle after they put together the No. 1 class in the country, the Texas Longhorns are looking to do more of the same in 2026.
Steve Sarkisian and company have a class that ranks in the 13-16 range depending on the recruiting site, but over the next couple of days, are widely expected to be in the mix for some of the top recruits in the country, like five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo.
While fans are anxiously awaiting Ojo's decision, the Longhorns were able to beat out both Penn State and Miami for four-star linebacker Kosi Okpala.
The Katy, Texas, product announced his commitment to the Longhorns on Thursday, and Texas's headliner of the class, five-star quarterback Dia Bell, was certainly pleased.
The No. 1 quarterback in ESPN's recruiting rankings took to X to welcome his new teammate.
" Welcome home," wrote Bell.
The Longhorns' hot streak on the recruiting trail over the past couple of years has been a product of Sarkisian completely turning the program around. Texas' record has improved every season, going from 5-7 in his first year on the job to making back-to-back College Football Playoff appearances these past two seasons.
While many fans are excited to see what Arch Manning can do at quarterback, Bell may generate quite a bit of buzz himself. The son of former NBA star Raja Bell was named the Elite 11 MVP this past month, and could make for the perfect successor to Manning.
With so much talent flocking to Austin, it seems like it is only a matter of time before they get over the hump and win a title.
