Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are gearing up for the 2025 college football season, and once again, they're expected to be one of the top teams in the nation.
As Georgia readies for another SEC grind with a talented roster, one of its most promising recruits is already making moves this summer, showing dedication and drive even before stepping on campus.
On Thursday, Rod Wave Elite Football announced exciting news about Georgia commit Jared Curtis. The news should help sharpen his skills against elite competition.
“5⭐️ QB Jared Curtis will be playing with RWE Football in Miami #ot7,” the post read.
Rod Wave Football is an organization founded by social media personality Cam Wilder. He named it after his favorite artist, Rod Wave. What began as a basketball program has grown to include football, with elite talent from around the country.
Earlier this month, Curtis reaffirmed his commitment to Georgia. He initially committed to the Bulldogs on March 23, 2024, but decommitted on Oct. 17. After receiving more offers and visiting Oregon, he recommitted to Georgia on May 5.
Curtis is coming off a stellar junior season at Nashville Christian, where he was named MaxPreps Tennessee Player of the Year and a junior All-American. He led his team to a 12-1 record and a Division II-A state championship, completing 179-of-255 passes for 2,830 yards and 40 touchdowns. He threw just three interceptions and added 18 rushing touchdowns to showcase his dual-threat ability.
Standing at 6-foot-3, Curtis is a five-star recruit and the No. 1 quarterback in the class of 2026, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. When asked why he chose Georgia, Curtis highlighted the relationship he’s built with offensive coordinator Mike Bobo.
“The biggest thing is the relationship with Coach Bobo and what they do with quarterbacks,” Curtis said. “Coach Bobo has a long history, and he’s done great as an offensive coordinator, and I’m looking forward to getting back up there.”
As Georgia reloads for another championship run, Curtis is already laying the foundation for his future in Athens by continuing to compete against the best.
