The LSU Tigers, led by head coach Brian Kelly, have quickly put together an impressive 2026 recruiting class, which has a total of nine commitments and ranks No. 1 in the nation per On3.
One of the biggest pieces to that group is wide receiver Tristen Keys out of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who committed to the Tigers back on March 19.
However, he has kept his options open and on Friday is scheduled to take an official visit with the Miami Hurricanes, with On3's Steve Wiltfong offering some insight on what that means.
"Keys is committed to LSU, but Miami is viewed as one of the biggest challengers," Wiltfong wrote. "He likes the offense, receivers coach Kevin Beard, the way the Hurricanes treat their players and trajectory of the program."
Of course, the Hurricanes in their own right have put together an impressive recruiting class with a total of 11 commitments for a group that ranks No. 8 in the nation.
That's why it's not much of a surprise to see them trying to make a push for Keys, who On3 Industry Rankings places as a five-star recruit, the No. 1 wide receiver, the No. 1 player in Mississippi and the No. 4 player in the nation.
Last season for Hattiesburg High School, he put up some very impressive numbers, appearing in 10 games and accumulating 40 receptions, 839 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Miami isn't the only one trying to pull him away from LSU, though, as Keys also has offers from programs such as USC, Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, Texas A&M and Notre Dame.
