It was a good season for the Florida Gators and head coach Billy Napier. They went 8-5 overall, 4-4 in SEC games, and defeated the Tulane Green Wave 33-8.
That marked their first winning season under Napier since he took over for Dan Mullen in 2022 and their first bowl win since the Orange Bowl in 2019.
Now, though, it's time for them to move on and prepare for the future. Like every other college football team, this means trying to bring in high-level recruits to strengthen the roster.
They've gotten to work on making their impressions on multiple players, and Steve Wiltfong of On3 now predicts that the Gators will land a commitment from class of 2026 wide receiver Naeem Burroughs.

This would be a massive addition for Florida, as On3 currently ranks Burroughs as the No. 2 wide receiver, the No. 4 player in the state of Florida and the No. 20 player in the nation.
The Gators aren't the only major SEC program looking to recruit the talented receiver in. He also has offers from teams like Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, LSU, and Auburn.
Burroughs would also be a much-needed recruiting win for Florida, which has received just two commitments from players in the class of 2026: four-star quarterback Will Griffin and three-star safety Devin Jackson.
