One of the top prospects in the 2027 college football recruiting class is set to visit the USC Trojans this fall.

According to Rivals' Steve Wiltfong , five-star EDGE Zyron Forstall has locked in a visit to the Trojans during the season. Forstall is also set to visit other top programs, including the Miami Hurricanes, Texas A&M Aggies, LSU Tigers, and Alabama Crimson Tide.

Forstall is the third-best prospect on Rivals and has the same exact rating on 247Sports for the website's composite rankings. He is also the best recruit in Florida and the second-best EDGE recruit in the nation.

The Trojans have yet to secure their first commitment for their 2027 recruiting class, but it will come in time. They are still focusing on rounding out their 2026 class and the 2025 season ahead since it's a big year for head coach Lincoln Riley.

USC fans want to win and expect a big season after the program only went 7-6 last year. It was the worst record of Riley's tenure since he took over the program before the 2022 season.

He has compiled a 26-14 record as head coach but hasn't led USC to a College Football Playoff berth after leading Oklahoma to three CFP berths in five years.

The Trojans will open their 2025 season against the Missouri State Bears this Saturday, August 30. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.
