NCAAF Week 11: Florida State Seminoles vs. Miami Hurricanes betting picks, preview

Florida State and Miami looked to be on a collision course for the ACC Championship after both teams started 4-0 with impressive wins early in the season, but that's no longer the case. The Seminoles are rolling along just fine at 9-0, but the Hurricanes have dropped three of their last five games to Georgia Tech, North Carolina and North Carolina State.

Does Miami have what it takes to pull off the upset and get its season back on track? Let's find out.

Spread: Florida State -14, Over/under: 50.5, Moneyline: Florida State -610 | Miami +440

The ACC is weak this year with Clemson and Miami struggling, but there's no question Florida State is the class of the conference. The Seminoles are 9-0 (7-0 ACC) and currently occupy the No. 4 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings.

Led by quarterback Jordan Travis, the Seminoles rank seventh in the country in points per game (39.6) and fourth in average scoring margin (+22.6). FSU has won five straight games by 17 or more points, and it looks poised to run the table and claim the ACC title.

Miami, on the other hand, has hit a lull after its 4-0 start. QB Tyler Van Dyke is 1-3 in his last four starts with 10 interceptions and just five touchdown passes. TVD hasn't looked the same since he injured his knee, ribs and back against North Carolina, so we might see freshman QB Emory Williams on Saturday afternoon.

The quarterback uncertainty for Miami has pushed this line up to FSU -14.

Florida State vs. Miami betting picks

Tyler Van Dyke under 230.5 passing yards (-130 DraftKings)

Are we sure Van Dyke is going to play the entire game?

This is an early Heisman Trophy contender who's thrown five interceptions and no touchdowns while averaging 168 passing yards per game in his two starts since returning from injury. And those starts came against Virginia and NC State. It's not going to get much better against a Florida State defense that ranks 18th in the country in yards allowed per pass attempt.

Van Dyke clearly isn't back to full health yet, and if he struggles early like he has two weeks in a row, we could see Williams replace him.
