ASU will be entering its first season in the Big 12 next year coming off a 3-9 record that included several injuries and a self-imposed bowl ban in the school’s final year in the Pac-12.
Combining transfers and incoming high school recruits, Arizona State’s 2024 class is ranked No. 44 nationally in the 247 Sports’ composite rankings. The Sun Devils will be bringing in 49 newcomers, second in the country to only Colorado.
The Sun Devils also saw a lot of their key players transfer to other schools this offseason, including quarterback Jaden Rashada (to Georgia), wide receiver Elijhah Badger (to Florida), defensive lineman BJ Green (to Colorado), tight end Jalin Conyers (to Texas Tech) and defensive backs Jordan Clark (to Notre Dame) and Ed Woods (to Michigan State).
Safe to say, Arizona State will have a new-look team for the second-straight season next year, highlighted by Michigan State transfer quarterback Sam Leavitt on offense.
No one, including the new college football game, knows what to expect from a team with so many new faces like ASU. If this rating holds true, Arizona State could be a fun team to build in the “Dynasty” mode in EA Sports’ first college football game in 11 years.
