New Video Emerges Showing Georgia QB Carson Beck's Two-Word Message After Injury

Carson Beck's injury puts his status in doubt for the Georgia Bulldogs' upcoming College Football Playoff matchup. Beck is dealing with an "upper extremity injury," but head coach Kirby Smart was vague on the severity.

After the undefeated Florida State Seminoles missed the 2023 College Football Playoff following Jordan Travis' season-ending injury, programs aren't likely to be forthcoming about injuries ahead of the seeding process. Beck sustained the injury during the SEC championship on the final play of the first half, and Gunner Stockton was inserted at quarterback in the second half.

“Yeah, he’s got an upper extremity injury,” Smart explained on Saturday, per USA Today. “We don’t know to what extent. Basically, we looked at it in there, and it looked okay. But he couldn’t have grip strength and throw the ball in the locker room.

"So, it was a little bit painful for that. So, we need to find out exactly what’s going on and have to MRI and look into it.”

A new video shows Beck on the sideline speaking with quarterback Ryan Puglisi and has some Dawgs fans worried. A concerned Beck is seemingly captured mouthing "it's bad," but it is worth noting that the video does not show the context of the conversation.

Another video shows Beck favoring his arm on the way to the locker room.

Beck was able to take the final snap and hand the ball to running back Trevor Etienne for the game-winning touchdown. The good news is Beck could have some extended time to get healthy. Athlon Sports' Steven Lassan projects Georgia's first College Football Playoff game to be on Jan. 1 versus the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at the Sugar Bowl.
