The journey for former Penn State football defensive end Adisa Isaac has been incredible. From not playing in 2021 due to a season-ending injury to becoming a highly respected NFL Draft prospect. Isaac is the true definition of never giving up on your dreams. It was clear that Isaac would crush interviews with NFL scouts. We saw that skillset on display at the Big Ten Media Days this past summer. But it’s what he has done on the field this week at the Senior Bowl that has ESPN’s NFL Draft Analyst & Insider Matt Miller giving Isaac a 2nd round draft grade.

Adisa Isaac ‘stole the show’ at the Senior Bowl per NFL Draft expert

The Senior Bowl was an opportunity for Adisa Isaac to showcase what he can do against the nation’s best. It’s clear that he exceeded the general expectations for himself this week. The former Penn State football star received high reviews from Matt Miller.

From his Senior Bowl Practice Notes, Miller wrote, “Speedy pass-rushers always stand out at the Senior Bowl, and [Adisa Isaac] was impossible to miss. At 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, he stole the show during National practices.” He later stated, “His first-sep quickness was too much to handle, and his spin move frustrated more than one blocker. He carries a mid-Round 2 grade on my board after 7.5 sacks and 33 pressures in his final season.”

Theo Johnson named top TE

Adisa Isaac wasn’t the only Nittany Lion lighting up the eyes of NFL Draft scouts. Tight end Theo Johnson had himself a week as well.

Executive Director of the Senior Bowl Jim Nagy posted this about Johnson on social media. “Penn State’s Theo Johnson was named top TE on the National team in a vote from LB and DS teammates at practice player-of-the-week awards ceremony today at 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl.”

Johnson will be able to carry the legacy of Penn State tight ends in the NFL that have impressed. While his stat line in 2023 didn’t showcase how valuable he was for the Nittany Lions. It will be great to see what team selects Johnson in the 2024 NFL Draft.
