NFL Insider Reveals The Best Landing Spot For Zach Ertz
Joe Rondone/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

After being granted his request to be released in the light of the emergence of 2nd year tight end phenom, Trey McBride, Zach Ertz has created quite a stir in the NFL rumor mill as to where will be his next destination.

Already a Super Bowl champion and 3x Pro Bowler, the 33 year old has had an impressive career by many accounts. Yet he is clearly still desirous of that elusive second ring,  or perhaps is simply not ready to hang up his cleats.

Regardless, Ertz will likely be heading to a competitor in the next few days, and NFL Insider Jordan Schultz believes there is one standout team for the former Cardinal to join.

Why Is This Zach Ertz’s Best Choice Of NFL Team?

Well, for those who did not watch the video, Schultz suggests the Philadelphia Eagles as the prime destination for Zach Ertz. And this makes a lot of sense. Firstly, the Eagles’ starting tight end, Dallas Goedert, has been out since week 9 after fracturing his forearm.

Although Ertz’s former teammate, Goedert, is set to return on Sunday Night Football against the rival Dallas Cowboys, having a secondary tight end – or backup incase of further injury and setback, would certainly be a smart insurance play for last year’s Super Bowl losers.

Also having Ertz for two tight end sets to disguise the impressive running game and play action lead by Jalen Hurts and DeAndre Swift, would certainly be beneficial. Regardless, the Philadelphia Eagles are just one of the strong options for Zach Ertz, and hopefully he finds a landing spot that allows him to play and compete for another Super Bowl.
