There will be 17 prospects in attendance for the NFL draft in Green Bay later this month but the inclusion of Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has raised some eyebrows.

The attendees include some of the top prospects, including Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, and Abdul Carter. But many fans took note of Milroe, considering he could be waiting a while before his name is called.

Pro Football Focus projects Milroe as a late third- or early fourth-round pick, while NFL.com's Chad Reuter has him landing with the Las Vegas Raiders in the third round. In short, Milroe could be in for a long, awkward wait.

"Is Milroe going to be the first guy in the green room as Day 2 ends?" one fan said.

Another noted, " It's nice of the NFL to invite Jalen Milroe to support his friends when they get drafted."

Milroe started two seasons at quarterback for Alabama, showcasing both arm talent and elite athleticism. In 2023, he threw for 2,844 yards with 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

But it’s his dynamic ability as a runner that has NFL teams intrigued. Milroe racked up 1,577 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns over his college career and turned heads with a blazing 4.37-second 40-yard dash at his pro day.

Some have speculated that Milroe’s decision to attend the draft could hint that he’s received intel suggesting he’ll be selected earlier than projected.

"No way Milroe and (Jaxson) Dart attend if they don’t have some assurances they’re going late 1st/early 2nd at the latest," a fan said.

In all, 17 players will attend the draft, up from 13 last year.
