College football legend Nick Saban is on the panel of ESPN's "College GameDay," covering some of the biggest matchups of the season.

Saban works alongside Kirk Herbstreit, Rece Davis, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee.

On Saturday, the "College GameDay" crew was in Knoxville, Tennessee, previewing a matchup between the No. 15 Tennessee Volunteers and the No. 6 Georgia Bulldogs.

While the panel was discussing the Week 3 college football slate, it reviewed some interesting topics, including the most underappreciated team in the sport.

Saban said he believes USF is the most underappreciated team in college football, praising head coach Alex Golesh for his success.

"It has to be University of South Florida," Saban said. "They've beaten two ranked teams this year, and they have the best two wins. But they also, to me, play with determination, great grit, great intangibles, take advantage of other teams' mistakes. And their coach has done a fantastic job with them. I think they're going to meet their match today but to this point, underappreciated."

USF began the college football season with a 34-7 win over the No. 25 Boise State Broncos. They followed a ranked victory over the Broncos with an 18-16 win over the No. 13 Florida Gators.

The Bulls are led by quarterback Byrum Brown, who has enjoyed a successful fourth season at USF.

Brown has posted one touchdown, no interceptions and 473 yards with a 65% completion percentage.

Brown has added two touchdowns and 109 yards on the ground.

The Bulls head into Week 3 as the No. 18 team in college football. If USF is able to defeat the No. 5 Miami Hurricanes, they may find themselves in the top 10.

USF visits Miami at 4:30 p.m. ET on the CW.
