Nick Saban Trending as Alabama Lands Fourth 5-Star Recruit

It's been an exciting offseason for the Alabama Crimson Tide and head coach Kalen DeBoer, putting together a 2026 recruiting class that currently ranks No. 3 in the SEC and No. 6 in the nation.

One of the biggest pieces to that group is wide receiver Cederian Morgan, who committed to the program on Wednesday over schools such as Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Colorado.

However, it's not just active coaches who helped make this happen, as the legendary Nick Saban, who retired after the 2023 season, has been photographed with several recruits during visits, including wide receiver and running back Ezavier Crowell.

The addition of Morgan marks the fifth five-star recruit that Alabama has landed in this year's cycle, joining Crowell, linebacker Xavier Griffin and cornerback Jorden Edmonds, which is the most of any program.

It's an impressive amount of success, and it has caused many social media users to claim that Saban's role and time with the recruits have played a big part.

"Nick Saban helping him, yall can’t tell me otherwise," said one comment.

"Saban working overtime in retirement," said another.

"Looks like Nick Saban is on the recruiting trail for Alabama again!! Good Lord!!" A third continued.

A fourth said, "Coach Saban is putting a pretty remarkable recruiting class together #Respect."

"Saban putting in that work," a fifth added.

"Saban killing it on them recruiting visits trynna act like it’s that new guy," said another.

Alabama may not be done yet either, as the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives them the best chances to land two more five-star recruits, including linebacker Anthony Jones (31.1%) and safety Jireh Edwards (93.1%).

If they can get both, it would be the first time the Crimson Tide landed at least six five-star recruits in one cycle since earning seven in 2023, according to On3, which would mark an impressive feat for DeBoer.
