Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, better known as Coach Prime, has had a notable partnership with Nike since his time in the NFL as a Hall of Fame cornerback.
Deion Sanders, 57, renewed his partnership with the athletic wear company by signing another lucrative contract in 2024 alongside son and Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Due to the new deal, he rereleased his Diamond Turf 96 signature shoes in the “Colorado Home” and “Colorado Away” styles in September.
Furthermore, Coach Prime also released the “Ravens” purple and black colorway of his shoes, which sold out within 10 minutes on the Nike SNKRS app. After this, Nike also collaborated with Coach Prime's eldest son and social media creator, Deion Sanders Jr., on his version of the Diamond Turf 92 signature shoes.
The sneakers come in a sleek “Black” colorway that also features white and red on the Nike logo and inside of the shoe. The sneakers are designed to pay homage to Coach Prime by honoring his “unforgettable legacy,” according to an article from Sneaker Bar Detroit.
As Nike put an emphasis on the sneakers' flashy design, the company is still prioritizing comfort because it intends for the shoe to be worn on the street and during competitions, which Deion Sanders Jr. can’t get enough of.
“Yes, sir,” Coach Prime’s son wrote on X on Wednesday while holding a pair of the shoes.
