Texas landed a big commitment from a Pittsburgh transfer linebacker on Saturday.

According to On3/Rivals' Hayes Fawcett , former Pittsburgh linebacker Rasheem Biles has committed to Texas. This is a major commitment for Texas, as Biles is the top linebacker in the On3 Industry Transfer Portal rankings.

Biles played in 10 games during the 2025 season, recording 100 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, four passes defended, two forced fumbles and two interceptions. He also had 17 tackles for loss and was an All-ACC selection.

He also started during the 2024 season, finishing with 82 total tackles, nine passes defended, 5.5 sacks, a forced fumble and an interception. He can be a starter right away for a Longhorns team that is trying to return to the College Football Playoff next season.

Biles was a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 28 recruit in Ohio, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 920 overall recruit in the country.

The 2025 season was Steve Sarkisian's fifth season as head coach. He's now 48-20 overall after Texas finished the 2025 season with a 10-3 record.

He led the Longhorns to the College Football Playoff semifinals last season before they lost to the Ohio State Buckeyes, who went on to win the national title. Sarkisian will also have his quarterback, Arch Manning, back for the 2026 season. Manning finished the 2025 season with 3,163 yards through the air, 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
