With just five commitments in its 2026 class so far, the Alabama Crimson Tide is sitting all the way down at No. 39 in 247Sports' team recruiting rankings. Last season, Kalen DeBoer and his program finished with a top-five recruiting class that featured five-star quarterback Keelon Russell.

Russell committed to Alabama on June 4, 2024, which kicked off the Crimson Tide's blazing hot recruiting spree. Many players followed Russell's decision by joining Alabama's 2025 class.

The Crimson Tide hopes that recruiting trend continues this summer, and it could all surround four-star running back Ezavier Crowell.

Crowell, the No. 2 running back in the 2026 class, announced on Thursday that he will be making his commitment decision on June 26.

The Jackson, Alabama, native is down to six schools: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Texas and Florida State. All six except Florida have locked in official visits with Crowell, with the Crimson Tide receiving his last visit on June 20.

During the 2024 season, Crowell ran for 1,964 rushing yards and 31 rushing touchdowns while also adding 258 receiving yards and a pair of receiving touchdowns. Crowell is ranked as the No. 33 player in the country according to The 247Sports Composite.

Of Alabama's current commitments, four are ranked as four-star recruits, with five-star Jorden Edmonds leading the group. Edmonds is ranked as the No. 14 player in the country and No. 2 cornerback according to 247Sports.

The Crimson Tide brought in one running back in the 2025 class: No. 2-ranked running back Akylin Dear.
