The chase for perfection is never-ending, and the Ohio State Buckeyes are hoping to find any opportunity to improve after destroying Grambling State 70-0. The Buckeyes were massive favorites entering, yet still covered the record-setting spread while playing backups for the second-half. That didn't stop Ohio State head coach Ryan Day from challenging his team.
Life is good for the No. 1-ranked Buckeyes as they enter Week 3 with a 2-0 record and another cupcake on deck. Day's star pupil, freshman quarterback Julian Sayin, can't rest on his successes just yet. Sayin posted an absurd performance, dotting Grambling State for 18 completions on 19 attempts for 306 yards and four touchdowns.
The bugaboo for Day, though was that incompletion. Sayin tossed an interception in the second quarter, ending his bid for a historic performance that would've included a 100% completion rate.
Sayin's lone interception, of course, had no impact on the game beyond Ohio State being unable to run up the score even more. But Day had to joke about the mistake, telling reporters that he doesn't want more of those in future weeks.
"When you can get some of these first-time things behind you, it is good. But that's it — no more interceptions. Not allowed," Day said, laughing. He also added that Sayin responded well to the mistake and knew where he misread the defense.
Ryan Day said Julian Sayin responded well after throwing the first interception of his college career.

Here's what our own Brandon Little had to say about Sayin's showing:
"What stood out most was the way he operated. The former five-star recruit was on time, accurate, and consistently stretched the field. Sayin’s first touchdown was a 47-yard strike down the middle to tight end Will Kacmarek. He later connected with Jeremiah Smith on an 87-yard catch-and-run touchdown and added another to Smith from nine yards out. Carnell Tate also hauled in his second score of the season on a 13-yard grab while falling back in the end zone."
