
Notre Dame Fighting Irish running back Jeremiyah Love has had an incredible career in college. In three years, Love has played in 41 games, totaling 433 carries for 2,882 yards and 36 touchdowns. He has also caught 63 passes for 594 yards and six touchdowns.
This past season, Love was the lead running back for Notre Dame, which finished the regular season as the first team out of the College Football Playoff at 10-2.
The 6-foot, 214-pound junior was phenomenal in 2025, as he totaled 199 rushes with 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns. Through the air, he had 27 receptions for 280 yards and three scores.
Love's 21 total touchdowns this season broke the program record, and his 18 rushing scores tied the Notre Dame record. With this incredible year, Love was honored with numerous postseason accolades.
He finished third in Heisman Trophy balloting behind just the Indiana Hoosiers' Fernando Mendoza and the Vanderbilt Commodores' Diego Pavia. Love won the Doak Walker Award, which is given to the most outstanding running back in the country each year. In doing this, he became the first Fighting Irish back to win the award.
Also, on Wednesday, Notre Dame shared on its X account that Love was named The Sporting News first-team All-American.

This is yet another All-America selection for Love, who was also named to the first team for other organizations, such as the Associated Press, Walter Camp, The Athletic and On3.
With Notre Dame not playing in the postseason, Love's collegiate career has come to an end, as he declared for the 2026 NFL Draft on Tuesday.
