The Notre Dame Fighting Irish had a pretty productive offense in 2024, finishing the season ranked 10th in points per game (36.1) and 55th in total yards per game (399.1).
A big piece to that success was starting running back Jeremyah Love, who will be entering his third season with the program, with many viewing him as one of the best players at his position.
That's clear by the fact that on Tuesday, he was one of two running backs named a Walter Camp Preseason First-Team All-American, accompanied by Penn State's Nicholas Singleton.
The achievement quickly caught the eye of Notre Dame's official X account, which commemorated it with a post captioned, "An elite game changer."

Last season, Love proved why he deserves this type of honor, rushing the ball 163 times for 1,125 yards and 17 touchdowns while also having 28 receptions, 237 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games.
Even after suffering a right knee injury in Notre Dame's final regular season game against the USC Trojans, he participated in all four of the team's College Football Playoff games.
However, it's clear that his production took a severe hit after that injury as Love ran the ball just 29 times for 176 yards and two touchdowns, with six receptions and 31 yards during those four matchups.
Now, he and Notre Dame are looking to get their revenge after losing to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the national championship, as ESPN BET gives them the eighth-best odds (+1300) to win it all.
When the season does conclude, Love will be eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft, where Pro Football Focus has him as the No. 1 running back and the No. 7 player on their big board.
