Oddsmakers are sticking with what they think is going to happen when Ohio State plays Oregon in the Rose Bowl

There are going to be some huge college football games being played this week. At the front of all of that may be Ohio State facing Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

I think we are getting a battle between the two best teams in the country in the quarterfinal of the College Football Playoff. It will be the second meeting between these two teams, with Oregon taking the first one in October by a score of 32-31.

This time around, oddsmakers are siding with the Buckeyes just days before the game. Since last week, the overall lines in Vegas have not really changed.

Ohio State is a slight favorite to move onto the semifinals in the College Football Playoff

According to ESPN Bet, Ohio State is a -2.5 favorite against the Ducks in Pasadena, California. The Buckeyes can be taken at -130 on the moneyline and the over/under is set at 55.5.

This game is expected to be a high-scoring affair once again. Oregon hasn’t played since the Big Ten Championship where they defeated Penn State and earned a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff. The Ducks are unblemished on the season and the win over Ohio State in October was their biggest test.

In Oregon’s first season in the Big Ten, they have left a big first impression that they are going to be a program in the mix. Dan Lanning has that program firmly as one of college football’s best with the way they are recruiting as well.

Oddsmakers have this game leaning slightly in favor of the Buckeyes and that is likely because it isn't on the road at Oregon this time. The game still has to be played to decide the real winner and we are just a couple of days away from it.
