Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Jeremiah Smith has been incredible through his first two seasons in college. As a freshman last year, Smith caught 76 passes for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns. This led to a first-team All America selection by USA Today and was voted as the Big Ten Conference's Receiver of the Year and the Thompson-Randle El Freshman of the Year.
In 2025, the Miami Gardens, Florida, native has been just as good. Through nine games this season, Smith has 65 receptions for 862 yards and 10 touchdowns.
He has been the best player in the offense of the No. 1 team in the country throughout the season, as Ohio State heads into Saturday's matchup against the UCLA Bruins with a 9-0 record.
The Buckeyes may have to try to keep their perfect record going on Saturday night, but may have to do it without Smith on the field.
Smith has been listed as questionable for the Buckeyes against UCLA in the official Big Ten availability report two hours before the game kicks off, per On3's Spencer Holbrook.
If Smith is unable to play, it will be the first game in his career that he has not played. The 19-year-old wideout has started all 25 games thus far through two seasons with the Buckeyes, including last season's College Football Playoff National Championship.

Another big blow for Ohio State's passing attack was dealt on Saturday afternoon, as wide receiver Carnell Tate, who has been one of Julian Sayin's other top targets this year, was listed as out for the matchup against UCLA.
It was not made official what made Smith be listed as questionable.
Kickoff between Ohio State and UCLA is set for 7:30 p.m. ET at Ohio Stadium on NBC.
