Will Howard and the Ohio State Buckeyes won the national championship during the 2024 college football season. However, they lost to the arch-rival Michigan Wolverines.

After losing to Michigan in the final game of the regular season, fans could not have been more angry. Instantly, the calls for head coach Ryan Day to be fired started. Many fans gave up on the season after the loss.

Despite all of the negativity surrounding the program, Ohio State was able to regroup and make a magical run to a championship.

Now, Howard is preparing for the 2025 NFL draft. He is set to begin a new chapter of his football career.

Even though the draft is right around the corner, Howard is still thinking about the loss to the Wolverines.

During an appearance on the "Ryen Russillo Podcast," Howard opened up about the loss.

"It wasn't fun man, you come to Ohio State to beat those guys. For me, it hurt. You get one chance at The Game," Howard said.

"Obviously, I got knocked up in the half, and I probably wasn't 100%. But, shoot, only God himself would've taken me out of that game. You only get one chance to play That Team Up North. And it was just a bad day. And you can't have that...I knew what I was stepping into...Ohio State fans can turn nasty if they don't like you. I grew up an Eagles fan, it's the same deal...they want to see their Buckeyes win."

While Howard did not accomplish his goal of beating Michigan, he did put together an impressive season in his one year with the Buckeyes.

He completed 73.1% of his passes for 4,010 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Howard also chipped in on the ground with 226 yards and seven touchdowns.

It will be interesting to see where Howard ends up going in the draft. Clearly, the loss to the Wolverines will continue to bother him.
