Ohio State QB Jack Miller suspended after OVI arrest

The Ohio State Buckeyes will be without reserve redshirt freshman quarterback Jack Miller, perhaps for the rest of the season.

Miller has been suspended for an unannounced amount of time following his arrest on a charge that he operated a vehicle while impaired.

"Ohio State University student-athlete Jack Miller was arrested by Ohio State Highway Patrol officers Friday morning and charged with operating a vehicle while impaired," Ohio State explained in a statement released to media, per Patrick Murphy of 247Sports. "Miller was released from custody and issued a summons to appear in court for the OVI. He has been suspended from the football team."

According to Tom VanHaaren of ESPN, the police report says Miller refused a breathalyzer test during the incident and was spotted driving in marked lanes.

ESPN stats note that Miller has completed 7-of-14 passes for 101 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions this season. He dressed for last Saturday's 33-24 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions, but it's unknown when he'll be available, moving forward.

No. 5 Ohio State plays at the Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-6, 1-5) this Saturday at noon ET.
