Ohio State, Ryan Day Receive Massive Update On Elite 4-Star Recruit

Head coach Ryan Day and Ohio State are in the hunt for the nation's top recruiting class after securing a national championship in 2024.

The Buckeyes currently sit third nationally with 12 commitments, including two five-star and eight four-star recruits, in the 2026 cycle after signing the No. 4 class of 2025.

One of the key challenges for Day and Co. is keeping that talent in the fold, as other programs make pushes of their own.

That was the case with four-star wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, who announced a major update regarding his recruitment on Friday.

Dixon-Wyatt committed to Ohio State on May 4 as the No. 6 receiver and the No. 59 recruit in the class of 2026, per 247Sports

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound wideout racked up 1,260 receiving yards on 87 catches with 11 touchdowns through three seasons at high school powerhouse Mater Dei in Santa Ana, California.

Dixon-Wyatt was previously considering Alabama, Texas, Oregon and USC before pledging to the Buckeyes. And he had official visits lined up to Alabama (May 16), USC (June 6), Texas (June 13) and Oregon (June 20).

However, it appears that Dixon-Wyatt will not take those trips to other contenders after shutting down his recruitment.

“I know where home is," he said via On3. "The coaches, the culture, and the opportunity to develop at the highest level- there’s nowhere else I’d rather be. I’m locked in. Go Bucks."

Dixon-Wyatt is part of another talented wide receiver class for the Buckeyes and offensive coordinator/receivers coach Brian Hartline

Five-star Chris Henry Jr. headlines the group as another product out of Mater Dei. Dixon-Wyatt is one of two four-star receivers, along with Jaeden Ricketts out of Watkins Memorial high in Pataskala, Ohio.

Dixon-Wyatt is scheduled to officially visit Ohio State on May 30.
