Just over 48 hours out from the exciting conclusion of this year's expanded 12-team College Football Playoff, one of the biggest questions facing Ohio State has reportedly been answered.

After getting his leg rolled up on in the second quarter of last week's Cotton Bowl, Buckeyes star defensive end JT Tuimoloau gave reporters an update on his status at national championship media day — and it's a good one.

Per Chase Brown of Eleven Warriors, Tuimoloau says his ankle is "doing great" and he should be a full go in Monday night's national title game.

"God healed me. He took care of my ankle," Tuimoloau explained. "I'm just blessed to be back here and have another day and another good amount of time with my brothers."

Despite the pain he was in against Texas, Ohio State's sack leader says it was never a question of whether or not he would come out of the game.

"I told one of the trainers, 'Hey, untie my shoe. Tighten it back up.' That's what I did in basketball," the Bucks star recalled. "I said, 'I'm good. I'm good to go.' They had me do a couple of tests, and I'm like, 'Hey, my ankle is alright. Let's try to get to the natty.'"

"I took a look to my left and saw my family there, understanding the sacrifices they made. And then to my right, the boys are battling," Tuimoloau added. "They would do anything for me, and I would do anything for them. It was quick motivation right there, and I got back in it."

This is expected to be the senior DE's last ride in Columbus after an outstanding four-year career.

The former five-star recruit currently projects to be a second to third-round pick at the next level. But a big time performance and a strong showing at the Combine/OSU's Pro Day could easily boost his stock heading into April.
