Oklahoma Sooners defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey earned MVP honors Saturday for his dominant performance at the 2022 Senior Bowl.
The Senior Bowl is an annual college football all-star game in which the final score matters little (the National team beat the American team, 20-10), but individual performances in practices and the game loom large. With the 2022 NFL Draft fewer than three months away, the Senior Bowl is an opportunity for many of the top prospects of the class to stand out in direct competition with their peers.

In January, ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. named Winfrey the sixth-best defensive tackle of the class.
Other standouts Saturday included quarterbacks Kenny Pickett of Pittsburgh and Desmond Ridder of Cincinnati. Pickett completed all six of his pass attempts for 89 yards and a touchdown, while Ridder completed four of his six passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
