The Oklahoma State Cowboys made a big move, landing Class of 2026 four-star defensive lineman Danny Beale, per On3.

Ranked as the 157th overall prospect, Beale chose the Cowboys over Missouri, North Carolina and Ole Miss.

He is the No. 1 overall prospect in the state of Arkansas and plays for Cross County High School.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound defensive lineman also held offers from Georgia, Oregon, Arkansas and USC. he became the highest ranked player in head coach Mike Gundy‘s current recruiting class.

Beale became the 12th commit for the Cowboys, including the second this month. Gundy also landed three-star quarterback Kase Evans.

OSU currently sits with the 47th-best recruiting class in the 2026 cycle and saw several key players from last season’s squad hear their names get selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.

That list included star running back Ollie Gordon II to the Miami Dolphins and linebacker Nick Martin to the San Francisco 49ers.

Oklahoma State finished 3-9 in the 2024 season, matching its lowest win total since 2000. The program also did not make a bowl game for the first time since 2005.

Gundy and company will look to return to the team’s winning tradition in their season opener on Thursday, Aug. 28 at home against UT Martin.
